Was just editing a story about a girl with motor neurone disease and it made me remember Gary Davidson, the ex-pro who had it. I remember reading about him in BM in the early 90s and ads featuring him campaigning for donations to the motor neurone charity were a regular feature in the mag.
In the story I'm working on, it says people usually only live two to five years after diagnosis, and it must be 15 or more since I first read about Gary. He has no "date of death" on Boxrec, so is he somehow still fighting the disease, against all the odds? If so, does anybody have an update about him?

Re: Gary Davidson
Sadly, this lovely man died after a long battle. He kept his sense of humour to the end.oliverfennell wrote:Was just editing a story about a girl with motor neurone disease and it made me remember Gary Davidson, the ex-pro who had it.
