training help

Post by Goldeboi7 »

I'm right handed but feel much more comftable in the southpaw stance and my right hand jab is much better then my left, is it that bad a thing to have southpaw stance with a right hander?

Also what type of training is good for when i can't get to the gym, pull ups, push ups? and do the push ups where you clap inbetween improve your punching power?

Thanks.

Not really. There are more and more boxers who are right-handed who box out of the southpaw stance. Many other boxers are left-handed and box out of the orthodox stance including Oscar De La Hoya, Gerry Cooney and Kenny Lane.

ohh, ok thanks.. But is it normal for a right hander to find it easier to jab with his left or right?
As if lots of people like me find it easier to jab with their right (and are right handed), but have learnt to do it with their left, then i feel i should do the same.
