yeah, saw it. micky vann gave him EVERY chance to get out of it too, believe me.
stubbs did great against him, took some decent shots early on but toughed it out and a worthy winner.
brookes boxed well against noble too and deserved the win.
best i've seen smedley box an 'all - altogether, a good night's boxing.

He wasn't overmatched at all. He'd have won easily had he jabbed and got on his toes. He just likes a tear up.thepocketrocket wrote:The question has to be asked, has Hobson been too willing to give his guy a competetive fight before he is ready?? Would Warren have done it? Where is the line between protecting your prospect but keeping them in learning fights and overmatching your lad drawn??

i agree ian, though i thought he looked a bit awkward when he switched southpaw. he looked like he wasn't quite sure why he'd done it.
from what i hear, ibbo didn't train properly for the fight and was even considering packing the game in. after the beating he took off stubbs in round four, it'll be interesting to see where he goes.
full marks to FA for pushing their prospect against such a solid opponent.

That would explain a lot, if your hearts not in it its a dangerous game to be inHot Tub Man#1 wrote:i agree ian, though i thought he looked a bit awkward when he switched southpaw. he looked like he wasn't quite sure why he'd done it.

ibbo can look decent when he uses his attributes and pops out his jab followed by some STRAIGHT heavy artillery, but when he wants to tear up he looks a bit ragged and his punches become arced. i saw him live on the woods delisle 2 undercard against ben driss or whatever his name is, and that was one horrible ragged messy fight that ibbo won by stoppage.
