Is Mickey Vann retiring this year?

My understanding is refs are forced to retire at 65, here in the UK - Vann was said to be 64 in 2006 so he must be on the point of reffing his final UK fight - What a fit guy he is for his age, he bounces all over the ring faster than someone 25 years younger.

You have to retire at the end of the year in which your 65th Birthday falls.

Shame really, Vann looks as fit as a flea, don't see why you should have to retire so long as you're competent enough and fit enough to do the job, which Vann surely is.
