Does anyone know much about him? I know he trained Walcott & Patterson, but not a lot else?

In the corner between rounds of the Patterson-Ali title fight,

Dan Florio tried to give Patterson chiropractic adjustments to his sore back.

This was the very fight after the fake 1-round Ali Liston second fight,

and Ali showed clearly he had no punching power against a Patterson who should never have been approved by the Vegas Commission doctors to fight because of his bad back.

I remember reading an article where Florio described how they (he) built up Patterson to weigh over 190 for the 2nd Johannsen fight.

Florio said they didn't want to overdo it, and that he concentrated on adding a little to Patterson's shoulders and chest.

Florio died prior to the fight. Al Silvani is the guy you mean, who trained Patterson for the first Ali fight. Dan Florio trained Patterson up until his death around August 1965. I really don't know a lot about him though. He handled Walcott earlier & was a top rated trainer of his time.
