No Wilfredo :-? :o

Good to see he got a stoppage win; I thought after the McDonagh debacle that this might all be a comeback too far - particualarly after poor reports from his sparring.

Still, if the desire is back there is a place for him on the domestic scene, no doubt.

I wonder if he can still attract hundereds of sombrero wearing fans to his fights?..

Wasn't he calling out Amir Khan before this fight? That'd be a decent fight for both at this stage of their respective careers.

Would like to see Gomez win 2 or 3 on the bounce to prove this comeback is for real before he was let near Khan TBH... Can his heart really be in it after the up and down tought career he has had?

Its a shame a rematch with Arthur was never made whilst still a saleable fight - Gomez did a great job of hyping it first time round.

Anyone watch the Seconds Out show recently on channel M? They had a feature on Gomez in which the presenter talked about a film he hopes to make on Gomez' life. They showed a trailor of the film and TBH it looked pretty good, when they showed it to him he was choked.
Hope they make it.

He has had a pretty crazy life, thats for sure.

The closest thing we have to a Johnny Tapia-type character I suppose (in terms of life story at least..)

Wasnt a great performance on Sunday though. His timing was out and he took a fair few from Daniel Thorpe up close. Still, got the KO win.
