Warren in US talks - so did anything come of it?

A week or 2 ago he went to America in the hopes of "banging out a Kessler deal", for Calzaghe. But we've heard absolutely nothing. Lou Dibella let something slip about having talked some more about Taylor challenging him in September, quoted in one of the UK broadsheets.

So, what's been happening and what's the big secret?

I read somewhere that Frank said a Froch fight has no chance of happening. Kessler is the only viable option now, chasing Hopkins or Taylor are just empty promises. Neither will sign so why keep wasting time.

that's the thing. the only thing i've heard is that he talked to DiBella about Taylor who had "elbowed Kessler aside" to get to the front of the queue. I don't know why they have to push us to the brink every time it's time to pick Joe's next opponent.

They are going to get very upset when he doesn't make the hall of fame, but only have theirselves to blame.

Nothing will come of these talks, but if the fight does come around, i'm not so confident the aged Calzaghe of today will beat the younger man Kessler.

As for Taylor, i'm not interested much in Calzaghe fighting another middleweight, no matter how good he is.

i would love to see Calzaghe get s 1 more defining win. shit, if he could beat kessler clearly, i'd have him p4p #1 based on taking down two unbeaten well regarded young champs + longevity.

not to mention being the #1 super middle ever.

but you know, if nothing comes of any of this, i will hope for & predict Inkin to come over and break Joe down.

I don't think Calzaghe-Taylor is best for everyone. Except for Calzaghe who gets a bigger name, a smaller man etc.

I want Taylor to hang around for Pavlik. That is a fight that matters down at middle. And what about Abraham, Sturm & Miranda?? Top fights...Shit, Calzaghe should fight Kessler.
