What is this rule exactly?
I plan on going to the Hatton fight, but a couple of years back i got a minor caution, will i have trouble getting in to Vegas?

Only if you mention it on the green form you have to fill in on the plane, which I strongly advice you not to do.
I think it's only an issue of you have been arrested for possession of a controlled substance and cautioned. If you have, just keep schtumm, they aren't going to have that information to hand in all liklihood, but if you mentioned you have been arrested and cautioned for possession of a controlled substance, I can assure you, you will be on the very next flight home, and banned from entering the country for several years.
I almost made the same mistake myself, and had ticked the box on the form saying 'yes' to having been arrested for possession of restricted substances (hash at university), and at the last minute had a change of heart, ripped up for form, and got another one.
My mate who I was staying with in the states, told me that had I filled in the form as I did originally, I would have been flying straight back home.

I know. The old Tom Hanks arent blessed with much intelligence are they.SticknMove wrote:Are you a terrorist? Yes/No

I sense a common theme here. Perhaps they should follow each of these questions with;
Are you a liar? Yes/No
Now that would really test their powers of lateral/circular thinking.

Just bullshit, you will have no worries.
On the other hand if you are British , of Pakistani origin, with a full beard, you have got more chance of getting a wank off the pope than getting into America.
[quote="jamesmcdonnell"]Yes indeed, it's such a ridiculous form.
They also had one about offences of 'moral turpitude' now I'm and English lit graduate and part time writer, and even I didn't know what the fekk turpitude was. Yes indeed, it's such a ridiculous form.
I thought you cleaned paint brushes with it!!

"Have you ever been involved in Nazi persecutions or genocide?"
Tick that one and goosestep up to the counter. Let us know the result.
I understand that the fingerprint check that they do now is on an international database. If you've ever been fingerprinted by the police they will see why on their screen so you don't need to have been convicted of anything, arrest is enough.
If this is the case you'll need to apply for a visa in advance & you'll have to go for an interview too. Details here http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/vi ... crime.html or call 09042 450100
Oh and when you're ready to book you could do much worse than go here...

Why not call the US Embassy, don't give yoru details, tell them your situation and ask if it is a problem, say it was a wrongful arrest (could it fall into that category if they didnt charge you?)Goldeboi7 wrote:yeah.. they took my prints, they marked it down as 'carrying a dangreous weapon'.
It didn't go to court, and they let me out on the day they brought me in, but from what someone said this will come up on their computers, so i may be in trouble.

It is very dodgy, a mate went over to New York and got collored due to his finger prints and deported. The reason because on a trip back from spain he brought in too many fags and was collored. The Yanks had him down as an Arsonist!
He's had to go to the police, get a check done, get reasons for his caution and then present it to the American Embassy. he's awaiting their decision.
At least his wife and kids at a great holiday!
