Typical british reactions here, as soon as someone shows a bit of talent lets all knock them down, some people moan when we don't have any talent in this country, then when we have talent in Hatton, Calzaghe , Khan , Murray etc all they want is for them to lose.
God forbid any of the boxers showing a bit of confidence or once they've earned a million how dare they go out and spend some of it.
I'm having a very bad day at work, so needed a rant

Umm, Khan has already been given a slapped wrist for running someone down at the lights, is only 19, is driving a car which would not normally be considered suitable for someone who has just learnt to drive, and has now been clocked at 140 mph.
In my case it's not out of spite, I just think I might be an idea to give the lad a Fiat Punto to drive before he fekks himself or someone else over.

I just hope that Mbaye doesn't carry him in the gym. If it is the case, Khan could really flatter himself and one day be in for a shock. However, if M'baye - a fine boxer - makes sure to show him a good few things in sparring, Khan will have an inkling of how far he needs to go. Little things like that can be important.jimmywils wrote:allegedly allegedly or one of his other 'friends' should get a grip of him NOW. Yeh, he seems like a down to earth sort of guy but hes surrounded by people constantly telling him hes a future world champ. His ego must be getting bigger by the day. He may start to get the attitude of 'do you know who i am'. I hope not.
IMO Khan should be scouting Mbaye at every chance because if there's a chance you're going to gun for the guy one day better start doing his homework now.
Just cause they are both Asian Naz and Khan will always get compared.
Amir isn't the first kid 2 get over excited in a fast car.
His handlers/family should take a stronger hold on him and buy him a push bike or something, at least it will keep him fit.
Kids and fast cars are a recipe for disaster, esp as most boxers think they are indestructable anyway

You're absolutely right that Khan should jump at such a sparring opportunity.Final Fight wrote:IMO Khan should be scouting Mbaye at every chance because if there's a chance you're going to gun for the guy one day better start doing his homework now.
Steve Collins said that he met Hagler in training once, and asked Marvin for a few rounds. Hagler ignored his request. Years later Steve realised it was for the best, admitting Marvin would've schooled him.
Collins of course went on to become an exceptional fighter, but Khan has a different temperament. I believe Amir needs an urgent wake up call, else he'll permanently settle into his bad habits.
