Bernard Dunne scores another 1-round KO

Bernard Dunne’s ninth fight WAS fought last night, for those of you that couldn’t find it on the TV or word about in the papers or the Internet.

He scored a first-round TKO over Julio Cesar Oyuela, who couldn’t come out for the second round. It was Dunne's eigth KO.

“I knucked the stoof’n otta him,” Dunne told me a few minutes ago on the phone.

“He wus a toof Mexican kid...with one'a them long Mexican names. He wus shorter than me. 50-50 record. He cume out aggressive. Tried to ruff me up. He moosta heard I woos a puncha. He had his hands real high. I dipped down and hit’m in the stumach. It took the heart right outta him. I wus real happy with me body puunches.”

The fight was scheduled first, a six-rounder, but because it was an outdoor show and it rained, they had to hold off until it stopped, and put it on after Morales- Espades--unfortunately, untelevised.
