He had a 1mill quid a year deal w/ ITV, thats 3 mill (91, 92, 93)

The SKY deal did only 5 mill I heard, though it was supposed to do 10

So thats 8 mill on TV deals alone

Purses? He used to be on about 700-750k while his opponent was on 25k!

So lets say 15 x 700 (pre SKY), about 10 mill

So yeah around 15-18 mill I'd say

It is a shame he did not keep more of it,

I hope he is financially ok, depsite what most think, being made bankrupt does not mean you are potless.

Seen him out several times over the years and always seems cool.

the deal eubank had with sky was 10 million for 8 fights in one year but if he get beat he would get 1 million for each fight he won

Lol I found this excerpt from a blog :
Eubank's fine talk about breaking the mould by getting out early with all his savings and faculties intact now look somewhat laughable. He is quoted as promising in July 1989 that he would retire at 25 years old as a millionaire. He's flirted with death at the NEC and at White Hart Lane - and even just prior to his first fight with Michael Watson through ludicrous weight-making alone - and now Keith Miles, his former manager in the late 80's, has instigated a £5,000,000 lawsuit against Eubank, alleging that the boxer had honoured only eighteen months of their four-year contract. Miles is claiming that Eubank has made £15,000,000 out of boxing and that, as his contracted manager, he was due a third of that figure. The Inland Revenvue had also taken note of Eubank's career earnings and extended a more serious threat over the fighter's future. Eubank admitted he owed 'a huge amount', a sum which would ruin him if he did not carry on fighting.

At the height of his career even his most casual spending was breathtakingly reckless. He would think nothing of spending £300,000 on an Aston Martin or flying to New York on Concorde for an afternoon's worth of shopping at Sachs on Fifth Avenue. Eubank's Concorde bill had risen to £59,000 a year. He also felt able to rent a permanent suite at the Grosvenor House Hotel, across the road from Hyde Park. For hosting his occasion jaunts to London the boxer paid the hotel an annual fee of £80,000. He was also happy to declare that he spent £90 on each pair of Versace underpants, and never wore the same pair of underpants twice. Over six years, the Concorde fees, Hotel fees and underpants alone would have cost Eubank around £1,000,000, and that's just childs play for him.

How about this .. (from US boxing site nine years back)
Eubank is a notorious eccentric. When he got the all clear to leave hospital after the Thompson fight he ordered a £5, 000 designer suit to be delivered to the hospital in a limousine, put it on and checked out. One sports writer saw him stopping at a service station for petrol some years back. After filling up, Eubank paid for his petrol and bought a bottle of spring water. He then proceeded to pour a drop of the spring water onto his hands, rub them clean and throw the rest of the luxury H2O away.

He owns twin, mock - Tudor mansions in Brighton, England, the grounds of which are decorated by a fleet of vehicles. Apart from his famous 12 - wheel American truck (which earned him a parking ticket when he drove it to a press conference for the Calzaghe fight and parked it on a city street) and his Harley Davidson motorcycle, he has an Aston Martin Volonte and a brace of Range Rovers. He bought the title "Lord Of Brighton" (which means nothing apart from, seriously, the inheritance of 4,000 herring and 3 cows per annum!) for £45, 000, and once tried unsuccessfully to buy Brighton beach (a public property) and make it his own – imagine the uproar it would cause if Mike Tyson tried to buy San Francisco bay and kick the residents of San Francisco off his new land!

I believe that Chris is not so much eccentric and flamboyant as desperate for attention and acceptance. He is an honest man, and while many of his comments on boxing have repelled people, the fact is that they are often true. He says what other fighters won't.

I love Chris Eubank and his flambouyant ways, he was the probably first British boxer to really catch my eye and get me interested in the sport, but as my Father regularly told me "A fool and his money are soon parted"

It seems clear from Eubanks own autobiography, that he's a guy with some pretty major issues, which have manifested themselves in a bizzare and facile persona which probably bears little relation to the man behind the ludicrous mask.

Whatever his foibles outside the ring, Chris Eubank is a man whose courage deserves to be admired, and he's hardly the first or the last boxer or other sportsman to make a packet and lose everything.

It's worth remember that fighters are rarely from backgrounds where they are used to the sort of wealth that their career brings them, and are consequently reliant on others to manage their finances for them. Many bad investments are made, and the money is spent as if it will never stop rolling in.

So what if he has wasted all that money, he's not harmed anyone but himself has he?

If I recall correctly Chris was put into a home as a child while his brothers stayed with his parents... its well known that being put into care can leave people with considerable issues... but Chris isnt going around asking for sympathy and I'm sure that his family is well provided for... at the end of the day he is basically a good and very courageous man...
