Greatest Briton never to fight for the British Title?

Just checking back on the record of Eamonn Magee... up untill tonight he has never FOUGHT for the British title. WBU shots, Commonwealth shots, EBU shots, Irish titles.... yes, but never a lonsdale title fight.

Its got me thinking, who do you think is the best British fighter never to have FOUGHT for the title. Magee (untill today) must have been a pretty reasonable canditate.

Oh I forgot, Naz didn't fight for the British title - just European and World.
