What if Andrew Golota met Trevor Berbick?
What if Andrew Golota met Trevor Berbick?
It could happen at a boxing venue near you. Berbick, famously floored three times with one Mike Tyson left hook in 1986, refuses to go away and claims he was drugged for the Tyson fight by someone tampering with the air conditioner in his hotel room. I believe him. I love the guy. He gave Larry Holmes 15 rounds of hell and shocked the world by beating Pinklon Thomas in early 1986. Okay, so he raped his children's babysitter and has burgled more homes (and raped more women) than Tony Ayala Junior, but we all have problems.
As for Golota, what an athlete! He took part in one of the greatest fights ever against Riddick Bowe in their rematch, but mistimed several body shots in a row and was disqualified. He did the same thing in the first fight, but one look at that twat Rock Newman at ringside would make me want to hit his fighter in the bollocks, too.
The two incidents weren't linked.
Yes, I know he drives around Chicago impersonating a police officer. And, yes, I know he likes to beat smaller men up in Polish nightclubs. But, hey, his shoulder was hurting (and required reconstructive surgery after the Tyson fight ). Let's not be too harsh. He's quite a guy all said and done.
So on to the action...

I thought Golota was Danny Williams' new trainer.bennie wrote:It could happen at a boxing venue near you. Only one rape case. Oh, he's a saint.Neil (The Bounty) Hunter wrote:bennie wrote: Believe it or not, Nasty, everything in the post is, unfortunately, fact.
where do you get off calling berbick a cereal rapist?
he had ONE rape case which was highly dubious. did you even follow boxing at the time? have you ever read over the case?
"Cereal" rapist. What, did he f**k a box of cornflakes without it's consent?Neil (The Bounty) Hunter wrote:bennie wrote: Believe it or not, Nasty, everything in the post is, unfortunately, fact.

How Neil can defend a scumbag like Berbick is beyond me. Legendary trainer Eddie Futch masterminded Berbick's upset win over Pinklon Thomas for the world heavyweight title in 1986, then walked away from the new champion and potentially millions of dollars. He wanted nothing more to do with him. That says it all.

Yes, good scoop. Had no reason to question it, Stu. I never believed Golota was going to fight here anyway. He doesn't know what he wants.stujones wrote:Bennie (or anyone else).
Did you check up my thread "It all must have been hype". Seems like Golata will be fighting in America.
Do you know what's the score??
