The Malignagi fight showed Cotto to be 1 dimensional and a little clumsy when given angles and movement. Against Torres/Corley he showed himself to be face first fighter who ate punches.

Cotto is seriously stepping up in class. We say Witter hasnt fought the best but neither has Cotto - Torres (got a gift), Corley (hurt him), Malignaggi (outlanded him), Ndou (went 50-50), Quintana (unproven) are all good but all barely top 10ers. All showed Cottos weaknesses and frailties.

Now Cotto could certainly KO Judah but if he doesn't Judah will win

yet he was given better angles, movement, from the southpaw side by the far better Quintana. Cotto had to take some nasty body shots yet he coolly, ruthlessly and efficiently broke the fellow PR's spirit.

I see it as being down to weight. at 140 Cotto was a drained and vulnerable fighter. at 147 he appears just right.

I see it as if Judah can't get rid of Cotto early - which he can't - then Judah is in for a beating.

Cotto didn't look like a monster against Ukral, which leads me to ask, how good was Quitana and how good was he? I don't think Quintana was in the same league as Judah.

As for Judah - hes a fighter you can't bet your house on. But I just have a feeling he can pull this 1 out. Definately a fighhter I have a soft spot for because of the excitement with the speed/power/skills/movement.

I don't know. I see it as Cotto performing to the challenge. Urkal is a pretty well tucked up guy without a great offense. Hence Cotto banging away at strong arms, etc. Quintana showed him a lot more and was taken out of it.

I hope Cotto's weight problems haven't followed him up to welter.

Quintana did land some great shots early on Cotto. But what is encouraging is that Cotto takes it & overcomes it. Don't think Judah's very resilient and I see an unholy beating coming.

Yes i wouldn't gauge much off any performances against Urkal, he is very experienced and sly with what he does. Urkal is underrated, the fact Harris dealt with him twice in his backyard makes Harris's sudden demise all he more baffling to me. Anyway...Urkal makes people look bad and i would say he is still world class at what he does even now.

He would have lasted the course agaisnt Cotto had the ref not got on his case and that stupid open scoring nonsense been in effect.
