HOW DOES "ALLEGEDLY" SAY IT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE??
From BBC website.
Last line is a classic:
Arthur set for summer title bout
Arthur withdrew from a title bout against Alexander Hrulev in March
Scottish super featherweight Alex Arthur has secured a WBO interim title fight against Georgian Koba Gogoladze in Cardiff this summer.
The 28-year-old from Edinburgh will face Gogoladze at the Cardiff International Arena on 7 July.
Southpaw Gogoladze, 34, defeated current British champion Carl Johanneson four years ago - but has never fought for a world title.
Arthur withdrew from a title bout against Alexander Hrulev in March.
The Scot damaged his elbow during training.
Current super featherweight champion Joan Guzman was due to move up to lightweight to meet Australian Michael Katsidis.
But a hand injury earlier this month prevented him from facing Katsidis.
Promoter allegedly said he hoped to see Arthur claim a world title in the near future.
"There's already been talk of fights between the likes of Kevin Mitchell and Arthur, Amir Khan and Graham Earl, Nicky Cook and Dery Matthews," said Warren.
"I want to make that talk a reality. I've got fighters into great positions, fighting for proper titles."
----
So let me get this straight-
Graham Earl and Alex Arthur fighting for "WBO INTERIM" titles?
Derry Matthews fighting for WBU titles?
This is Warrens definition of "proper titles"?
ITV, please give this tumour of a man & his sh#tty fight cards the boot.

And what I said about him getting fighters fighting for proper titles Is true as Calzaghe and Hatton won the IBF and Arthur was nearly close to an IBF shot until the Peden eliminator didn't happen.
I don't defend the negatives like the WBU and getting fighters like Enzo to defend against guys like Gunn. I said how unhappy I was with Joe fighting Manfredo too but some of you don't read my posts properly It seems.
So yes I can see who's a stain on the sport thank you.
It is only when you look at the fights other british promoters seem able to get that you realise how cack Warren is. Witter got a green belt without warren Walker got a good shot and froch is getting US exposiour and climbing the rankings. Haye is taking competitive fights all these things are good for british boxing Amir Kahn's bum of the month club is not.
In fact he took 2 fighters to Ring titles. Real titles. But still he's bad for the sport is Warren and makes it a laughing stock.Tsukiyomi wrote:Well he has got fighters fighting for IBF and WBO titles so he can keep a straight face on that.
Arthur for a vacant title is an insult to proper titles.
Frank, take your "proper titles" to the fvcking moon. Trading standards should come down on this man like an anvil

Was Marqeuz's WBO reign proper though? He took the title because Harrison became Ill and had court cases.
Guzman won his over a weight drained Barrios.
What If he was as good as Warren? Would we get similar match ups?
Before Haye, Maloney only got Lewis to the top. He had Scott Harrison but he was only the manager while Warren was the promoter.
When Eastman was fighting Hopkins and Golden Boy did the deal with Hennessey, would he of made a deal If Warren was promoting Eastman too?
It's good that Brit fighters get more exposure through Hennessey's Golden Boy deal but does GB do anything else?
Shame Mick put Witter Vs Kotelnik and Froch and Barney on ITV to entertain though so I would of enjoyed watching Witter on ITV alot more, other than Calzaghe, he's my favourite fighter. He could of waited to get better matchups maybe but by that time Frank got the exclusive deal.
See I'm human, I showed unhappiness towards Frank's exclusive deal.
Guzman won his over a weight drained Barrios.
Credit to Hennessy when he has a good fighter and gets them to a title shot he does but he doesn't have enough talented fighters for It to be more regular so In a way he appears to be more genuine. It is only when you look at the fights other british promoters seem able to get that you realise how cack Warren is. Warren protects his fighters (his money) until he absolutely has no choice but to stick them in with somebody decent.....
Calzaghe waited almost a decade for a defining fight - Lacy.
and Lacy was exposed as a big punching fraud.....
Hatton made his own way there, and Warren is fortunate Tszyu is a world class gent as well as one of the greats of the modern era. Sure he got paid well, but he had to come over here and fight Ricky in Manchester when he was undisputed champ and P4P top 3, because Frank won't leave home...
Is he agarophobic...?
look at Hennessey and Hobson, get fighters shots with no fuss.....no bull. They're fans of the sport, they give us what we want to see....in the main

Warren does tend to mae is champions rich before they have had the big fights.
Hatton has done very well financially since leaving Warren but then that is because FW has been cut out.
The fights he has had since haven't been great match ups, relatively hard fights against bigger guys who aren't really names.
Yeah the Castillo fight has been made but FW always got slaughted for matching Ricky v faded, blown up, super featherweights

OK Overhand you are right to beef about FW and his often pathetic bills but my concern is your final line - I dont want to see ITV boot him off, but I would like them to threaten FW with "unless your bills improve with better fights and proper titles, we may have to reconsider your contract" - For all we know this may have already happened - I just dont want ITV to drop boxing completely.

i think money was a staumbling block between ricky and frank.
i also believe taking him abroad was a major issue.
3 fights in a row in the states for hatton.
warren would never have allowed that.
Warren is just taking the piss with those statements. Bigging up his fighters contesting 'interim' WBO titles?
I also don't agree Hatton has done worse away from Frankie, he's won 3 more legit titles in each fight if I'm not mistaken. Admittedly a win over Tszyu is probably worth the same as the 3 wins over Maussa, Collazo and Urango but it's still a WBA/WBA/IBF haul against just the 1 IBF that Warren managed.
He is a total cock.

that was pure paper, definitely. GBP have had bad results sending fighters abroad and probably never intended to make the Marquez-Harrison at all. But Marquez was WBA/IBF at feather before.Tsukiyomi wrote:Was Marqeuz's WBO reign proper though? He took the title because Harrison became Ill and had court cases.

what do you mean he was an illegal light welter a lot of the time? For his WBC lightweight fights he always weighed in on 135 and obviously piled weight on after - as is the norm today. Also, he was fighting some pretty huge guys at lightweight - Bazan, Corrales 1, Diaz, Lazcano - & was a drained fighter (workrate dropping off considerably) in at least 2 of those, so I doubt he had advantages over them.Terry D wrote:Aye, Castillo is different though. He was a LW for a while and an illegal Light WW for a lot of the time also.Coco wrote:Warren does tend to mae is champions rich before they have had the big fights.

Castillo is a big game player and the guy he fought last time was always going to present him with problems. All effing about aside Castillo did what many could not do, he nailed Corrales with a single shot and turned out his lights. Even if he did cheat.

Every post is to defend allegedly ir his fighters, even his indefensible moves. No normal boxing fan could possibly be so pro-Warren, i think this is a Sports Network employee, no lie.

I didn't defend Manfredo and Gunn.
