Chauncy, looking at your record I can see that you have never lost by a KO or TKO. The people you have sparred with also include some ridiculously hard punchers. Judging by this I deduce that you must have a pretty damn good chin. Also judgin by the fact that you claim to have little power, you must have a fair bit of boxing ability.

Not meaning to get personal, but I also noticed that your weight has fluctuated a lot between fights, between 240lb and 285lb. I was wondering what kind of effect you believe your weight has had on your performances throughout your career, that is, how much better have you been when you have weighed in lighter?

I am also interested to know what your future ambitions are in the sport. I am impressed that you have had so many fights at the age of 24!

Would you ever come to KC/St. Joe area for a fight? We have some good fighters around the heavyweight department, with Byron Polley, Galen Brown, Gary Dydell, and of course Rob Calloway. I think that these would be definitely possible fights for you. Whatcha think?
All great fights, but I've been trying to lulll Polley out for a couple of years to no avail, and Dydell wont answer his phone.
Calloway and Brown I would love to fight the winner of.
I gotta say, when I was down in St Joe, I thought it was a beautiful town and I would be more than happy to come back. :TU:

It's very weird! The more I weigh, it seems the better I feel. Sometimes my body just holds onto weight.
I have a fight next week and I cannot get below 275lbs, and I'm training harder for this than even my last fight when I came in at 257lbs. I just feel very weak at the lower weights, and can't get my legs going or anything.
As far as my future goes, I really don't know. I'm going to give my all, wait for the phone to ring. I wanna one day at least just fight for the heavyweight title. Win lose or draw, I would give my all and that would be legendary status in the Northwest part of America, just like with my good friend Joe Hipp.

Don't say lose or draw. Only come to win! Besides who knows with someone like Briggs as chump...I mean champ you might be able to do it. Hey other then your two NZ cards I noticed a lot of other NZ cards coming up including the Cameron vs. Kelvin bout. Think you got a chance at any of those against better opposition. I'm not dogging your opposition as you try to step up but it seems hard to get them in their with you. Anyway when is Alonzo planning on fighting you? Also muscle weighs more then fat so maybe thats it. Also are you consistently training harder for each fight now? Not trying to be insulting, but this is boxing and sometimes guys will slack off in between or on different fights.

I hate to admit, but in between fights, I slack off big time. I train very hard when I have fights coming up, and it is very hard on my body, so I need a little fun time.
About Alonzo, not really sure! I know this fall or early winter was being looked at, but as I said, not really sure. :TU:

hopefully we can do it for the OPBF title also!!
Chauncy would need to reside in NZ continuously for 12 months to residentially qualify.
OPBF (President - Frank Quill) unlike PABA etc is very strict on this.
Then why not make the fight for an African or Scandinavian or Penta-Inuit title or something. Yes, the OPBF is strict, and good on them. They and the European Boxing Union are about the only regional orgs who actually apply the geographical boundaries suggested by their titles. An Irish-Kiwi against a Croat-Aussie for the IBF African belt... Mundine as a Latin champ... Russia's Timur Ibragimov as a Caribbean champ...

Nothing set in stone. Gotta ask the promoter. He hasn't really said who the opponent will be.

Heh. Try for a Bostice rematch. That will prove to some if you can beat him that you truly have improved. Maybe even get another crack at an ESPN2 date.
