GWENT boxer Bradley Pryce's licence has been suspended for another three months, his trainer Enzo Calzaghe said last night.
Pryce, pictured, aged 22, of Cwmcarn, was convicted of causing former girlfriend Rachel Godwin actual bodily harm in an attack last December.
A hearing was held at the British Boxing Board of Control in Cardiff on Thursday which decided that his suspension for bringing the sport into disrepute should be extended for three more months with a review at the end of that time.
Mr Calzaghe said afterwards: "Bradley and I respect their ruling, but I can't see how this benefits anyone. It is a serious blow to the career of a promising fighter who is really trying to put his life back together. Because of his suspension he has had to miss a big European fight and a big World fight, I think to carry on punishing him is a bit heavy."
Pryce was unavailable for comment last night.
