Davey Moore vs Mike McCallum

Post by Nile4000 »

If the pre-Duran Moore had fought the McCallum from 84-88 in a title fight, who would win?

That's how I would see it, and the computer agrees.

Moore would definitely be competitive for awhile and he'd win some rounds, but McCallum was just too tough and his body punching would take it's toll. McCallum by TKO around the 10th, or the 6th if he get's the thumb Moore.

would go with mccallum, having said that, had Moore had better management and a fair chance to mature and learn who knows. There is no reason his corner let him take the beating from Duran, other than money or false pride.

McCallum definately had more experience too. And probably was more stronger. Definately more complete boxer than Moore who was a good fighter himself.
