the thing is, the beeb encourage all this. how many calzaghe vs __ pieces have they passed off, only for joe to never fight the guy...if it;s all true, if palle and warren can cooperate, if joe can make a concession to make the big fight, good on all of them.

Fair play if Warren and Calzaghe have accepted what Kessler was offering, but I'm wondering if it's that easy. This statement concerns me somewhat, do I detect 'options'?

why don't the useless bloody bbc do longer, more thorough articles? how much space have they wasted over the years on joe - 1000s of web pages worth.

according to BN, Palle gave a list of conditions for Kessler to fight in the UK. Warren refused but said they'd go to Denmark under the same conditions.

also, warren must have it in september, palle must have it in november because it's his 50th anniversary as a promoter!

promoter egos are getting well in the way. i think one guy said it best. Kessler, "You'd think after the Manfredo farce, Warren would try and find the toughest opponent out there."

Come on. This fight isn't close to anything.

One final word from me. Wouldn't Calzaghe-Kessler be a great deal clincher for Warren to get one of those exclusive TV contracts that he likes so much for his endless WBU and WBO fights.

Fair play to JC and FW for accepting the fight in Denmark, although as it says in the article I think there is alot of bluff calling going on.

Did Palle offer JC BIG money to fight in Denmark, because he thought that JC would never travel there (I think so). Now the ball is in Palles court, can he and the finances of the fight back up his bid????

We might all be very cynical at this stage, but there does seem to be some progression at least the 2 sides are talking again and JT seems to have been forgotten about (for now)

but they haven't accepted. palle gave a list of terms to go to the UK. warren said how about the same for us to go to denmark (according to BN). palle says warren is lying - the terms aren't the same. they also disagree over the date.

there is a precedent for this. warren and sauerland disagreed over the date for calzaghe-beyer. what was it - warren needs it in sept, beyer needed october. beyer fights kessler in oct. warren has joe fight BIKA in october after all. what was the point?

it's ALL bollox. palle sounds as bad as warren. but you know, it's calzaghe who NEEDS the big fight NOW. kessler unified last year, is having a fine 2007 (shutout of andrade on HBO) and he has a terrific opponent for later in the year, Mundine, where they can clear up the WBA super/regular mess.

calzaghe-kessler would be a fine deal clincher. but warren-palle is not.

What a load of shite, its been agreed but we have not had the contract yet!!!!!!!!!!! yeah right. This announcement been made so when it all falls through they can say but we accepted its all Palle's fault.

November? It was Palle's idea to stage the fight in September in the first place. This is good news atleast, certainly puts the ball in Palle's court. Hopefully he doesn't go back on his words which were quoted in numerous online articles.

Well, right now it seems the ball in genuinely in Palle's court. Some have tried to spin things in a way that the ball seemed to be there earlier, but in reality the ball has always been in Warren's court..and he has been the one not wanting to play ball.

Now that the ball genuinely is in Palle's court it will be very interesting to see what the next move is.

Very interesting.... and great for Joe that Warren seemingly found some nuts in the end. Either Palle declines and he will then have nothing on Warren or Joe OR Joe makes a carreer-high in a fight that is difficult, but not far from impossible to win.
