feedback on my BOXING WEBSITE

Post by whiskey »

My site is now 2.5 months old and not 100% finished, but i got a dinky little forum going on and managed a couple of interviews with Mikkel Kessler and Carl Froch whilst putting it together.

http://www.LiveFight.com

just interested what folks think? or where improvements can be put in.

Cheers

GRaphics and design are strong - one question business wise - how are goingto get revenue through the site?

Overall, I liked the site. I wonder about that techno type music in the begining though......

bit too flashy for my tastes, and don't like sites with black backgrounds, they are hard to read and a bit old fashioned I think personally.

Also, a bit slow loading, maybe it's the additional graphical animations.

One question, how are you going to sell DVD's without getting prosecuted, or are you selling commercial DVD's rather than home-made stuff?

Perhaps its your browser? are you using internet 5 or older? i have run speed-tests on it and its rapid for the content.

I suppose darkness is down to taste - ultimately, i feel that white-sites remind me of a word document. I just tried to do something with a nice density to it. Once you get used to the darker images, its nice on the eyes - i was a little unsure at first on it, but glad i chose the scheme as its a little different.

Revenue is a 'nice to have' and who would turn some dough down? but ulitmately it is done purely for online fans to utilise, rather than extract a quid here and there.... honest guv :D

Hopefully we can do some merchandise somewhere or other, but more of a service rather than a business venture.
