Anyone else backing Judah tomorrow?

I like Judah in this one, and according to oddschecker.com you can pick up what seems to be a huge 9/1 for a Judah points victory at William Hills.

Judah's as unreliable as he is talented so might be dumb to put any wonga on him really, but I think Cotto is being a little over-rated coming into this. He's being touted as being a welter wrecking ball with an iron chin but guys like Torres and (briefly) Corley had him in trouble and neither of those hit as hard and fast as Judah. Memorys a little hazy but I remember thinking Cotto being very lucky that Paulie Malignaggi had no real power to go with his handspeed, as he didn't have too many problems landing shots.

Judah of course knows how to lose fights too, guess thats what makes this one pretty compelling.

Atmosphere for this one will be amazing, like the Trinidad comeback..

Cotto may get wobbled or dropped at some point but sooner or later stops Judah, in my opinion.

Judah KO in 3 for me..... Cotto hasn't faced a puncher like Judah yet, he hasn't faced as slick an offensive fighter as Judah and he is a slow starter (and Judah is a fast starter). If Cotto can be close to being stopped vs Torres, then Judah can spark him.

I'm with KoJoe. If Judah does win I think it will be early, although I reckon Cotto can handle Judah's best shots now that he's better suited to 147. Cotto may well struggle early on with the speed difference but by the 6th round he will be into his rhythm whereas Judah will be fading both physically and mentally.

Yep agree, there's a good chance Zab's lefty speed & punch power could catch the slow starting P Rican early.
In fact, Judah might as well put it all on an early win, because his chances go down the longer it goes. Can't see him winning on points somehow: he's so erratic if he lets it go long, Cotto will catch up with him at some point and make him pay, even if he's been knocked down a few times himself.

Should be a terrific fight in NY tonight - Cotto is who you'd back if your life depended on it......but those early rounds could be thin ice.

Is it only me who has backed Judah since the DLH vs Mayweather fight... The fact that Judah seemed to be able to take Mayweather's shots better than Oscar.

Looking forward to the all-Jewish showdown between Yuri Foreman and Anthony Thompson on this show too. I hope its televised.

I expect Thompson to batter the protected, light-hitting Foreman. It would seem his promoters have finally run out of patience with him.

Humberto Soto gets to put some hurt on Manny Pac's kid brother as well. Soto is a class act and can win at a canter.

I'm going for Cotto on points. I see Judah having his moments throughout the fight and Miguel struggling at times with the speed of Judah but overcoming that with non stop hard work and pressure. I just can't back Zab, he is inconsistent and I can't stop thinking of the Baldomir fight, I can't possibly back him with that in mind whether he underestimated Carlos or not.

I think Cotto will bully Zab into a late stoppage, unless Judah runs and then it could go 2 a clear UD.
Zab is very talented tho and can't be ruled out, real interesting fight.
I'd like 2 see how Hatton would get on v the American

Not exactly backing him, but he's a very, very live underdog. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he proves too quick and sharp for the sometimes overly methodical Cotto. But having said that, the majority thinking seems about right to me: Judah having success early, but being systematically broken down for a late stoppage.

Judah starts all quick and slick, but he's usually done by the 5th or 6th round. Cotto just needs to stay sensible early and pile on the pressure down the stretch. Late stoppage for Cotto, imo.

I think Judah can win. Cotto is caught an awful lot in fights and has been in trouble on a few occasions. What worries me is Judah seems to be away with the fairies, as mad as they come and he will need to be fully focussed for this win that is where my doubts are.

Despite titles at two weights Judah is a classic under acheiver in my book.

Whilst Cotto is far from perfect I fancy him to wear down 'Brooklyn's Finest' and butcher his body suficiently to register a convincing points win.

Look for Judah to bitch and moan about the decision though..
