Cotto vs Judah post fight.

I do wonder How Hatton would get on against these Two!!

I personally see him doing the same kind of job on Judah that Cotto did, Judah being competetive but Hatton winning out..

Cotto is funny..I was always 100% convinced that Hatton would beat him at Light Welter, no doubt, Hattons workrate would beat a guy who was desperate to fight at his own pace..Now it could be differant, Cotto looks like a proper Welter, that could be the key!!

Superfight anyone??

I thought the left was Judah's best chance. When he threw it straight and short or changed it to an uppercut he was landing cleanly and they were by far the biggest punches he landed all night. Cotto was definitely stunned twice from left hands and he remained open for one all night.

Judah was overwhelmed, he never threw enough punches and allowed himself to slip further and further out of the fight as it went on. Like somebody said he is a front runner. I don't think it's a question of heart - look at the way he waved Cotto in when he was pinned in the corner. That performance by Cotto was better than anything I've ever seen from Ricky Hatton. Judah vs Hatton would make a great 50/50 fight at light welter.

Cotto looks much much stronger at Welterweight. I don't think Hatton could hang with him at 147.

Full respect to Ricky - he unseated a modern great in Tszyu. And Cotto went nowhere near Kostya, nor did Mayweather. But looking at the problems Ricky had with southpaws - Magee, Collazo, Urango - it's conceivable that Judah would have beaten him. Hatton's best off against Castillo, who has a style more suited to Ricky not to mention and outstanding track record in top level/title fights.

Castillo's taken on some big, strong guys before - Lazcano, Bazan, Julio Diaz, Corrales. The Ngoudjo result doesn't look so hot with Ngoudjo struggling to beat Randall Bailey. But it probably gave him the wake up call to put in a strong showing.

I've got high hopes for Ricky v Castillo. Lot on the line for both men. What will Setanta do if Ricky gets battered? Have they put too much stock in him, like the Beeb did with Audley and Haye??

I wouldnt right off 'our Rickaay' in this one.

Cotto wouldnt match up too badly with Hatton stylistically in my opinion and I think Hatton is both quicker and more mobile than the PR super star.

Cotto has almost unparalleled mental toughness and great concentration but I think Hatton could edge him you know...

I would give Hatton a terrific shot at winning and I for one think its the best avenue open to the Hitman if he gets past Castillo - I would love to see Team HAtton push for this one and I would be booking my flight to JFK to cheer him on!

At 140 I'd have picked Hatton in a rough fight, but at 147, Cotto looks to have more speed and stamina than he did at 140. He also gets much more leverage into his shots than Hatton, who tends to smother his own work, and favours volume over accuracy or power.

Cotto throws those wide, deep hooks to the body which had Judah wincing badly. Hatton tends to get in close and throw much tighter, quicker shots, which don't seem to be that effective any more.

I think Cotto would hurt Hatton in the middle rounds before bashing him up down the stretch for a points win or late stoppage.

Not many people come to fight against Cotto and last the distance.

I don't see Ricky moving up to 147 to face Cotto.

Where DO you see HAtton going, assuming he gets past Castillo in his next fight?

As HAtton has claimed he wants to retire after his next few fights I think a showdown of unbeaten crowd pleasers at 147 is a perfect way to cap his career.

Sure beats the relative damp squib that a Witter fight might turn out to be..

Agreed Terry...

Even if he lost that fight it would make him even richer and would help his legacy...especially if Cotto goes on to be the legend that some envisage...
