What on earth and who are you on about? you seemd to be completely obsessed with this Spud character, have you been shagging him?boxingchat wrote:A fan? no time at all but in order to have an opinion and a knowlege of the workings of the sport you must first serve an apprenticeship and you have not. Unlike you, you couldn't write everything I know about Boxing on the back of a Postage stamp using a marker pen. Did you even follow it before 2000, in fact, when was the first time you ever saw a live fight Spud?
What is the pre-requisite number of years you have to watch boxing before you can call yourself a fan?
That answers your question now my question to you Spud is a scientific one, How much longer does your head need to evolve before YOU can call yourself as Human Being?

Yes, a ludicrous idea.fried bread wrote:you can't criticise shit matchups and wasted talent unless you're an insider! ha
anyone with half an A level in media studies and an interest in pugilism can see through the rubbish that's been on ITV & how it can be improved.
If I tread in a lump of dog shit, I don't need to be a vet to know it stinks.

Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster. (aka lurker)
I noticed on Saturday night that the Hatton program starts at 11 pm. I assume this is to give value to people who buy the PPV, and I know it's a tactic SKY used on most of their PPVs, but they were usualy supplimented with a British bill to fill the time. Any word on whether Setanta will have the same?? Maybe Bernard Dunne's fight from that night perhaps?? (pure speculation)

Pretty sure Dunne is tied up with RTE - unless they negotiate to re-show the fight the following night. Dunno.Fat Gav wrote:Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster. (aka lurker)

I wouldnt be too surprised to see a reshowing of their last fights, although in both cases it might put people off as opposed to getting the pulses racing!
Good to see a Galway man on here - my mum's side of the family are from around Headford on the Galway/Mayo boarder - lovely part of the world over there mate!
It is indeed man. Dunne would be tied up on RTE, but I could see an arrangement to show it in the UK, deferred so RTE keep exclusive live coverage, and I'm pretty sure it's the same night. The only past fight they would show to which they have rights is Zab v Cotto, and any boxing fan will have seen that already. I'm only wondering if an announcement has been made really.TerribleTerry wrote:Pretty sure Dunne is tied up with RTE - unless they negotiate to re-show the fight the following night. Boxing Chat, you can keep up with your obsession, but I suggest you have other things to think about, you maybe looking for a new job if the boss doesn't get a decent TV contract. I am sure Spud is reading your comments and getting hot under the collar about them. I don't give a fornicate, in fact you make me laugh so please keep the insults flying you ae very entertaining.
Incidently, I was reading a while back that Sky were negotiating with Setanta to try and gets its channel's (or at least the ones that show the English Premiership) as part of the Sky Sports deal (maybe a slight price hike)... essentially, if you had the 3 Sky Sports channels you would get Setanta.
Any news if that the negotations have been scrapped.

Yeah showing the Dunne fight would be a good call, otherwise we're all going to be bored into submission having to listen to big boy Bunce and Duke yacking on for...FIVE hoursFat Gav wrote:Hi all. Long time reader, first time poster. (aka lurker)

I mean, even Bunce will run out of things to say after an hour or so..surely?
I can picture an increasingly desparate looking and wild eyed Dempsey trying to think of new lines of conversation already!
Yes folks, it's Matthew Hatton as chief support...again.
I'm certain scooby is not Spud by the way - and we should stop mentioning spud, otherwise he'll get a big head.

No mate, I know someone in Manchester who reckons he is in the know. He is saying though that Setanta are trying their best to do things properly and they are serious about their participation in boxing. The Blade wrote:Good inside information!!
