I haven't reead any fight reports as yet but i was just commenting on a few results from last night's action. Paulie Malignaggi widely outpointed N'dou over 12, i didnt see it (was it on SKY?) but it appears there were knockdowns which would be surprising given N'dou is no sturdy and Malignaggi is a strict none puncher. Maybe he just overwhelmed his man for some of the rounds. Anyway good win and on the undercard Dirrell beat Curtis Stevens over 10, i remember when Primera beat Stevens before his "entourage" at ringside proceeded to smash the place up.
And Zsolt Erdei predictably beat overmatched fodder George Blades by stoppage in Hungary. Erdei took 11 to wear his man down.
In Turkey McCall did the unthinkable and won a decision over Sinal Sam while Gomez beat Bakhtov over the distance. Sam looks finished now, McCall soldiers on at 43 is it??
Results From Last Night
The Malignaggi-N'Dou fight is on SKY next Friday Steve. I'm looking forward to seeing it. N'Dou may have lost every time he's stepped up, but none of his defeats to Mitchell, Cotto or Witter were as wide as this landslide from Paulie. Apparently the knockdown was just a well-timed shot as N'dou came in. I must admit, I was shocked to read that Malignaggi had put N'dou down.
