Is Alex Arthur fighting for the W.B.O title?

Anybody got any news if hes fighting for the full title or the interim?

I think it has yet to be confirmed, based on nobody seems to be sure what Guzman is doing.

Lets hope its for the interim. I like how Arthur has bounced backed and he seems to have matured into a nice person. However, I'm fed up of the big fights not happening ... I want to see Guzman vs Arthur, or even Barrios vs Arthur.

I very much doubt we'll see Arthur let in with either Guzman or Barrios... frankly, both of those guys would destroy Arthur... who still has all the flaws that led to his defeat against Gomez...

The WBO replied to my e-mail today. Currently, Guzman is still the WBO sf champion, so Arthur's fight will be for the interim title. However, they did seem to suggest that Guzman may fight Pac, which would appear to be for the latters' WBC I/C title, which strikes as a little bit odd, but nevertheless there you go

Yes, they would be the favourites. However, I don't think they are flawless or on the Barrera/Marquez level. I think Arthur could be competitive.

What is frustrating is that the guys get into good (if slightly inflated positions) within the WBO but if there is a decent name as the champion - the fight doesn't happen.

Nicky Cook, Enzo Mac, and Alex Arthur - all #1 with the WBO... all had decent fighters at their champion - all fought for an interim/vacant belt against a much lesser opponents. Michael Jennings another with an inflated #1 ranking - didn't get a shot.

Its a bit sickening, frankly. Why can't the fights be delivered.

The WBO title is a waste of time just like all the other fake belts. However i do believe Barrios is in line to fight Juan Manuel Marquez next. As for Pacquiao when he saw the dollar signs and signed for Arum he wasted a big opportunity for great fights

IMO I think had he signed with Golden Boy he would have had access to a Marquez rematch and Barrera plus Guzman (is he with golden boy?) and Valero.

Having seen Solis destroy Bobby (who is better than his record suggest) I would like to see the better brother fight Solis. Solis looked revitilsed at Super Feather and I don't think a win over Juarez would be considered an upset anymore.

Can't believe he has had so many defeats. Reminded me alot of Eric Morales, hence why I want to see him and Manny duke it out.

Why would Guzman give up title. It seems to me interim is the way foward, perhaps new wbu route!

Semms like he is intent on wasting his talent and becoming a pie boy. He was once scheduled to fight Kastidis and I believe also been in talks with Juan Diaz. Seems he is moving up again.

He lost his power at Super Feather, not long ago he was a deadly 122 fight. I think he should stick make 126 easy.
