Last night on C4...(UK)

Post by Ezzard »

Anyone see Arguello-Olivares last night? it was shown late on Channel Four on a show called "The A-Z of Boxing".

I set the old machine to record but for some reason it messed up. Anyway, was the show any good? Did anyone see it? Does anyone know if there will be anymore broadcasts?

I missed it myself but will go back in the listings on the Sky+, a) to see if I can watch it and b) to check for a Season-Link for more episodes. Will get back to you.

It continues next week,
'The A-Z Of Boxing; This week's episode travels back in time to see legends Mike Tyson and James 'Buster' Douglas slug it out in the ring in this series which chronicles classic boxing history from the early 1900s to the present day.
Doesn't say how long it's running for though and again you'll have to set-up the VCR or upgrade to Sky+ and set that to record as it's at 04:45am.

Later

I posted a reply to this on the British Boxing forum a few minutes back so I won't repeat here. Not sure why Videoplus didn't seem to work...mine worked fine, though I always check the times it shows once i've entered it, and generally add ten minutes to the end time to cater for delayed starts to the show.

J

PS Just briefly, it showed Arguello/Olivares, Angel Manfredy/Grove, A quick bit on Henry Amstrong, and the Ali/Folley fight
