Looks like a serious line up and a great night of boxing!

Yes, I was there, supporting the Sheffield lads, but tell you what, the night of the rematch at the Ponds Forge in Sheffield, on the 18th July 1998 was even better.
My good mate Ryan Rhodes was making a comeback and did brilliant.
Nelson sparked Peter Oboh, and yes the famous Omar Sheika was beaten by Tony Booth !
Buster Keeton floored Kelly Oliver, and add for good meaure, Ricky Hatton, Anthony Farnell, James Hare and Noel Wilders.
Those were the days - good bills, top to bottom.

If the Mbaye vs Rees, Arthur vs Goboladze, Maccrinelli vs Braithwaite bill all holds up - then its pretty damn close. The 14/07/2006 O2 bill aint bad either.

On a side issue, just sure a commercial for ITV sport (general one) had a fair few references to Khan and Calzaghe.... So looking good there IMO.

That's the problem with the 14th Stu - most of the stable want a slice of the action, and the bill looks great already. Fingers crossed ......
As for the commercial yes you're right. It's a general sport one, with a few boxing references, so again fingers crossed.

In the 70s Micky Duff show at the R A H top of the bill was Sibson v Finnigan one of the best shows Ive seen. The supporting bouts were first class anybody remember the card.

There are a lot of names on that bill, certainly. But Hatton and Witter were nobodies at the time. As for Damon Reed? I think the arrival of Bobby Gunn on these shores has robbed him of his crown as 'Worst Title Challenger Ever'.
