not sure if savani was ever a boxer, but ink ow he was one of the best cut men. my question is who's corner was Savani in in his cut man career?

As the story goes, to save Patterson from more punishment Savani told the Referee that Patterson had injured his back and could not continue...

Do you mean Al Silvani, the guy who was in the first 3 Rocky films? If so I recall seeing him in Rocky Graziano and Nino Benvenuti's corners.

Silvani was one of the best. He started with Ray Arcel and worked the corners of Henry Armstrong Rocky Graziano Benvenuti Tami Mauriello Lamotta Patterson and Alexis Arguello
He also trained Frank Sinatra and helped get him started in singing

He also trained the Danish Olympic team and helped to introduce international boxing in Thailand
