I'm not getting very excited about Hatton-Castillo
I think this is because it's tucked away on Setanta.
As a consequence Sky clearly aren't giving it any build up which normally piques my interest if it was lacking...
I didn't think it was possible for boxing to be anymore tucked away than being on Sky but we got used to that and now it becomes even further removed from the public eye.
Big shame....

I Sky plussed the freeview previews and got them to work by setting the 'viewer defined' start time 5 mins into the recorded program (if that makes sense).
Anyway chaps, yes thanks for that heads up, the previews did lift my interest a bit. Ricky does look in superb shape, very muscular and powerful.
Was going to make up my mind on Saturday whether to pay for the fight or not - I really think they are taking the piss with this PPV thing now - but I see Setanta are offering a free months subscription if you but the fight by close of play on Friday which means a few free Premiership games....

Punch power's very interesting. Ricky must've weighed less than 150 during that test, yet is reported to bench press a little over 70 kg max. I'm sure his stocky build is the reason for his hook's power.
Has anyone heard if a SopCast feed is likely?
Again, as with PBF/Oscar it doesn't feel like a massive occasion. I wonder how much of that is down to me. Maybe because boxing isn't mainstream anymore...
The fights which would excite me are Calzaghe vs. Kessler, Inkin, Bute or Froch, and Haye vs. Maccarinelli or any quality HW. No disrespect to Ricky and Jose, I just can't imagine it being much of a thriller; unless someone gets KO'd early.
