Two rough and tough performers. Very exciting to watch... I pick Barkley to win by cuts.

I would bet on Barkley. My first impression is that it's somewhat lopsided to Iran. Which just happens to be the sim's take on it as well.

Barkley had underrated skills and really power at 160 lbs., but Vito´s chin was pure iron, and his pace was unbelievable high at his best, IMO Antuofermo would be able to outbrawl Barkley to a close decision...

I agree that Antuofermo would win a messy brawl.

Hard to say what Barkley's best performance was at MW, he was getting clobbered by Hearns when he got a bit lucky. Maybe it was his KO win over Olajide. If it's that Barkley vs the Antuofermo who lost (in my opinion) a close decision to Hagler. I think Antuofermo surges ahead in the championship rounds and wins a UD by probably 3 pts.

Well I will admit that on the times I saw Vito fight (via TV) live I could see he was game and he was an exciting fighter. After viewing some films of him I think he is being a bit over rated by some of us. His strong suit was chin and heart but wow would he get hit! .....

So do we all suspect that Iran just got lucky twice with Tommy Hearns? To be honest that is what I suspect but you can not argue with the fact that he did get the job done.....twice. I'm not sure I'm overating him....and as for his loss to Duran....Once you've established your in a real fight with Duran not many came out ahead but he just about pulled it off. He is an easy candidate for under rating. IMHO.

1979 version of antefermo would eck out a draw and keep his title.
1981 version would get busted up and squashed.plain and simple.
