I say Trinidad cleans him out mid-rounds. Tito has chin issues himself of course, and Cotto is strong as a bull, but if he left his chin exposed against Tito like he did when he got clocked by Judah, its over. Could be a replica of Tito/Vargas, but I think Cotto gets taken out earlier than Vargas.

Would anyone fancy Cotto to pummel Tito?

I definitely back Tito to win. Cotto is a very good fighter, but he's also the product of tremendous promoting and match making. Ever since he got rocked by Corley he's been put in with non punchers, or guy's who's stock wasn't very high. Tito on the other hand ran through a bunch of top class opponents. There was no careful match making with him. Also, anyone who chose to stand with Tito invariably got knocked out.

Trinidad at his prime at 147 (not the weight drained fighter who "beat" Oscar) would have been a match for anyone. I just think he is/was the sharper puncher (both quicker and harder) and I would favour him.

I agree with it being a similar fight to Vargas vs Tito.

Big difference.

Cotto is a gutsy motha. Tito could be felled, and Cotto is a clinical punch picker once he has you.

At 147 I think Cotto could have the edge.

Trinidad with Papa Trinidad's Doc Kearns inspired wraps, or without? For me, the wrap issue -- which I believe has more than a thread of truth -- totally takes the sheen off Trinidad's recrod.

He was a wonderful technician and Cotto marching forward might have been meat and drink to him; but, with legal wraps, I see Cotto being too strong for him.
