Neil Sinclair has a good opening round against Francis Jones. Started off lively but dropped the pace in the last 30 seconds, letting Jones land a oouple. Sinclair looks open to the uppercut.
Sinclair freezes Jones with a couple of hard left hooks. In the last minute Jones opens up with a flurry and momentarily makes Sinclair back off. Jones warming up to it but a Sinclair round.
Excellent post, Cannibal. My internet keeps cutting out but this looks a quality fight - Sinclair outboxing him but Jones looks right up for it. Some quality exchanges - WOW Sinclair just fell apart....
Jones deserves massive credit for that, he walked through a hell of alot. Just wanted it more. With higher sparring than he had he could have won that more comfortably, not that it was in any way comfortable in there...
Jones redeems the Elwell defeat with that performance, IMO.
Yeah, Sinclair was a bit one dimensional I thought despite winning nearly every round. He kept going for head shots, mainly hooks. Jones blocked most of his straight shots well enough.
Beautiful opening from Dunne. Had a moment of world class when he feinted the left and clattered Walstad with the right, Got the left to the body working as well. Walstad looks lively enough though.
Another great round. Body shots, jabs, hooks, crosses. Think there was everything but an uppercut from Dunne in that round. Walstad is getting very frustrated. Think his game plan was based on getting Dunne to brawl. Has a cut above his eye.
Walstad with a good bit more success in this round. Dunne still with the quality work though. Walstad still fired up, could come into it down the stretch.
Showboating from both fighters after landing shots. Dunne is starting to settle into a comfortable rhythm. Walstad needs to do something more to unsettle him.
Didn't come to life until the last minute. Dunne lands a lovely body to head combo. Dunne using the jab to good effect and continues to land regular body shots.
Walstads cut is getting worse. Ref stops the fight twice to get the doctor to look at it. Walstad defends the eye a bit more. Walstad gets off a nice flurry. Dunne finishes strong. Cut may force Walstad to go gung ho.
