why????
first and foremost he needs to fight for the money..right , second he did not take a beating from hatton - it was a 1 punch knockout only a quarter into the fight.
after 3 round i had hatton 2-1 up , the rounds were close and castillo did not - i repeat did not look shot during that fight....its only because hatton won early that people think castillos shot....that aint the reason , when you are hit like that you stay down ask (de la hoya) vs hopkins...if hatton hits mayweather with that shot...its over
castillo in the hatton fight fought 3 close rounds with only rickys superior henry armstrong like workrate winning the 2 out of 3 rounds...no other fighter at 140 can fight like hatton and id certainly fancy castillo vs the champions in this division.
now whats happens if castillo in the future fights and beats some of the top guys at 140??...will he still be shot???
only time will tell
i think castillo will win another world title

Maybe Witter. I could see Castillo giving him hell. And I agree with boxerbob, I don't think Castillo looked shot at all in the first three rounds. He was starting to come on strong in the third and his trademark left hook to the body and right uppercut were looking as dangerous as ever. In the corner at the end of round 3, I thought Ricky was breathing quite hard, having expended a lot of energy, whereas Castillo's breathing was quite relaxed and he appeared to have plenty left in the tank. At that point, I was starting to worry for Ricky in the later rounds. So if Junior's looking for someone to fight him, how about JLC?Captain Hook wrote:Who do you think he will beat to become champ?

Its all about styles making fights, but I would actually fancy Castillo's chances against all of the champions more so than Hatton.
What Hatton had over Castillo primarily was handspeed and strength. With the exception of Torres none of the champions are what I call physically strong, none really have to boil to make weight, none have the are particularly strong in the clinches. Castillo is a little cuter than Hatton and a bit less in your face. Thats the key against Torress. I don't think Mbaye or Malignaggi would hurt him and I think Castillo will wear them down the stretch (stopping Mbaye and getting a close decision over Paulie).
I agree with the poster/s who say that Witter would present the biggest problems. He has the speed and power to trouble Castillo.... but if it goes beyond 5 then its Castillo all the way. I would prefer Hattons' chances vs Witter than Castillo's chances, but would make both the favourite.

I know what you mean but ODH as example was a poor one.boxerbob wrote:why????

I have thought as have many that the BHOP shot was the end of Oscar.
Castillo can fight the rest and win, Hatton is the number 1 and by a fair way too.
