Mundines Undercard Opponents
Does anyone know who the opponents are for Mundines undercard?
Boxrec doesn't have anyone listed.
Does it usually take this long to find fighters?

Les is a huge man. A man his size doesn't need much talent to succeed. Look at Valueav.calmac66 wrote:hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha2doggs wrote:
to see if big Les has got any better.
Not saying Les will be a world champ, but I think he'll be a really good club fighter and a tough bloke to beat easily.
I think he's working pretty hard and he wants to make something of himself...... Why is everyone so negative.
Cause someone has a heart and has decided to spare the viewing public from watching him learn his trade on National scene, he should have 10 or so fights on undercards that are NOT televised if he learns to fight then put him on a televised card.2doggs wrote:Les has been dropped from the undercard, does anyone know why?

There are blokes on TV all the time with 1, 2 or 0 fights on there record, I've seen blokes on TV with plenty worse records then Les Mason.
Les is obviously a mate of Mundines, and he has every right to put him on his undercards.
Those guys have amateur careers and actually have half an idea of what they're doing in the ring. Mason is just some fat scrub who decides to play boxer every now and again. Mundine has every right to put whatever garbage on the undercard he feels like, and anyone who's seen those shit fights knows he exercises that right every card.walford wrote:Bull Shit.Ross wrote:Cause someone has a heart and has decided to spare the viewing public from watching him learn his trade on National scene, he should have 10 or so fights on undercards that are NOT televised if he learns to fight then put him on a televised card.2doggs wrote:Les has been dropped from the undercard, does anyone know why?

Some of them blokes that are showcased on Fox I reckon I'd beat. I don't think there's a snowballs chance in hell that I'd get near Mason. I'd rather watch Mason fight 100 times then have to watch anothe Paz Viejo fightR_jay wrote:Those guys have amateur careers and actually have half an idea of what they're doing in the ring. Yeah i missed the first couple of undercards but the ones I did see were what you would expect of a Mundine undercard. The one good fight I saw was the Cruiserweights Jamie Withers and Anthony Mcracken. There was one fight between Mitrevski Jr and Clinton Simmons that was an absolute joke. Simmonds was trying to head butt Mitrevski from half-way through the first round and the was TKOed by the second but Mitrevski looked like he had really poor form.Marlin wrote:So did anyone watch???
The main event was a pleasant surprise. Nievas was totally outclassed but he has a lot of heart and a good chin and didn't stop coming forwards and a few times had mundine looking a bit nervous but I can't remember Nievas using his height advantage once during the entire fight and there were several occasions when Mundine landed 4 or 5 sharp jabs in a row and Nievas didn't even try and evade or return fire. I think it was harder then Mundine expected though. All in all it was entertaining but not worth anything close to $50 PPV.
I thought the undercard was probably the best undercard Team Mundine has put together.
Lance Gostelow just lost to Mosquera when he was stopped in the last round while leading stopped Gregnoco with one shot
It was good to see Lenny Zappa fight although it was a mis-match, still another good stoppage.
Also good to see Emmett Gazzard, he never really got out of first gear though
Withers v McCracken was a cracking fight and I'd love to see a re-match in a real fight
Daniel Baff was impressive against another overmatched opponent
The Haumono fight was very dissapointing
I do wish though that they were real fights.
I think guys like Gazzard, Zappa and Gostelow should be fighting more than 3 rounds. Gostelow just fought a 12 rounder.
Withers v McCracken was 2 minute rounds. Why????
I'd prefer to see less fights if they were real fights. As I said about the Gazzard fight he never got out of 1st gear, that's because 4 rounds is a warm up.

If you knew how the system on Choc's cards works, you'd understand why so many fighters/fights.
In short...The "A" fighters are the sellers - That's how they & their opponents get paid. The more fighter "A" sells the better opponent he can afford.
In some cases boxer "A' can find himself fair bit out of pocket by fighting, hence the difficulty arranging decent bouts.
Choc & his manager Khoder could give a shit either.

fornicate me that was a shocking card, saved by the argies chin and heart in the main.
Dead set, Gazzard, get over yourself - absolutely loves himself and he cant fight! Absolutele horrible prospect, cant throw straight punches properly, chin in the air all fight (and wonders why he keeps running into right hands?), cant see a shot coming, footwork ordinary - and showboats like he is Ali! Makes me sick.
Lenny Zap looks ok, but seriously, so would my grandma if matched like he has been. Another embarassing matchup. Kazzi and Baff- meh going nowhere.
In all, the past few years I have totally gone off the local scene because of crap like this. People should be put in jail for some of these matchups. Fox shows have got to the point where they are unwatchable, ordinary fighters in ordinary matchups. Then matchups like Ndou-Rabah arent on fox at all.
Surely Main Event have some sort of idea and can say something? Talk about raping a sport. The mundines would be ashamed of themselves, if they cared about anything but the bottom line.

I am more interested in the local scene than the world scene.
Gazzard is a good prospect, I admit he does have a bit to learn, but he goes alright.
Zappa is 19 and has been slowly stepping up the level of opposition since the Dulog fight (admitedly Steve Storic was useless and his next two scheduled opponents aren't flash, but again did I mention he is 19).
Lance Gostelow was awesome in stopping Gregnoco, Gregnoco has been in with the best fighters Australia has to offer and he has never been stopped like that, chalk the Mosquera loss up to experience and he was winning at the time.
Biffa, well I was impressed the other night, I was unimpressed last time I saw him against Paz Viejo, but he is a very awkward bloke. I don't know that he is a genuine world class prospect, but he'll be a very handy fighter
I agree that a lot of the fox shows are pretty poor and that Kazzi is very ordinary, but the rest of it was total crap
