As I said, he's always craved attention. For once, let's give it to him! getting utterly sparked out on the BBC is worth our attention! I wonder if he agrees? He was always first to tell us "Ooh, Ricky just called me", "Ooh, so-and-so sat next to me on a flight", "Ooh, I just had my head removed from my shoulders by a journeyman".

Can someone post a link to the video - all the links here are to AUDIO files, so naturally I'm not sure what I am supposed to be looking for.
Serious question here, and I am not saying this cause its Spud, but why does Hobson need someone in Spud's role in Vegas in the first place. Surely Banner promotions have got their own "Spud" to do the work. Likewise on a Hatton show in Britain, I wouldn't think that the Banner version of Spud would be needed.
What does he actually do to be needed in Vegas. I naturally assumed cause you always see him walking in with a fighter, that he is a bit of a doorman/security. Nothing official, but something aroud that area.

Oliver you don't waste anytime going from friend too foe with old pal Spud.oliverfennell wrote:As I said, he's always craved attention. As for name dropping i've read your posts on other boards and your not much better. Are you jealous of Spud getting paid to watch and attend bouts? You are aren't you
Adleast Spud with all his faults ran some good prediction leagues

I applaud Fight Academy for offering vulnerable members of society gainful employment. Punching their lights out does seem a touch extreme but they must have had their reasons.
They totally refuse to invite me to film their pressers so I can only assume they are trying to avoid kicking my head in for which I am eternally grateful.

Spud would not have had the experiences and opportunities he has had if he was as bad as most of you claim.
For those of you who were sat in a pub or in the comfort of your own home having paid your £15 to watch it on the box - Spud was in Vegas albeit working in the majority but also having alot of fun too no doubt.
You can sit and type what you like about him, but I bet most of you would give your right arm to have been out there.
Spud may not be some hot shot journo worthy of a job with BN and he may brag about what he has done but at least he has been afforded the opportunity.

It would appear that this Spud character became an unscheduled inadvertent participant down the bill at the Vegas sideshow in his own right, but not in a good way.BigGar wrote:Agree with Bareknuckles.
Most of us would have loved the opportunity to get out to Vegas and be as close as that to one of the participants.
Hats off to Spud for getting out there.
I must say I haven't a clue who this guy is and what he's all about but he seems to have pissed off a lot of people on this forum. One question I have to ask is how does he manage to keep himself in on the boxing periphery (especially part of Hatton's entourage or whatever it was) when it seems he should have been blackballed by now?
