after having popped in on the current scene a bit this week im stunned at the general feeling that should ricky and floyd fight:
(In no particular order)
Fight at 150 because thats were floyd would be!
Let floyd pick the glovesize.. because he p4p #1!
Give floyd 25 cajillion dollars because he got 25 last time against Oscar!
Give floyd Ref choice if it comes to England (apparently to stop wrestling!)
Give floyd choice of ring size if it come to england
Give floyd Choice of judges if it comes to england ( To stop him spitting out his dummy if one of the judges dare to give the fight to somebody else.. see last fight, i thought he was gonna Cry)
etc etc bigger PPV slice etc etc ......
Basically my point is would Ricky be better off fighting Cotto at this stage and basically Tell the floyd camp to take a running jump. I know people will bring up legacies etc but from a fans perspective i would Pay to see Ricky go against Cotto any day of the week and if i had a choice its the fight i would rather see.
Should ricky fight Cotto before Floyd?

Dont get me wrong i would love to see Ricky fight floyd as i think he would have a hell of a better chance than Oscar did and we all saw what happened that night when floyd was pressured.
I think at the end of the day I think floyd should fight somebody else first of all so when he gets paid less than half he did for oscar and a couple of hundred thousand people buy the PPV only then some sense of reality might be restored.

The more I think about it, the more it should be Floyd. If Hatton can cut the ring down, be busy and be sensible, it's winnable and it's a physically weaker man. Floyd doesn't like to be ruffled - anyone remember PHILLIP NDOU pinning him on the ropes with left-right barrages?
Hatton can do a better job than Castillo, who ran Floyd close.
