im not really interested in seeing clinton fight anyone he has already met, its all getting a bit boring to be honest, johnson, delisle, gonzales..

It does appear woods's carrer is on a bit of a hiatus because of his promoters other interests, since winning that title he has done very little. I would like to see him have some fights to make himself a little money he is a nice bloke and come up the hard way.

He deserves a payday and I'd like to see him fight Tarver, I think he'd outwork him..

sure Tarver is a better boxer - in spurts - but i think Clinton could beat him...

i do too and i think clinton deserves the pay day to perhaps end his career, tarver is now more of a name thanks to the balboa link, this could perhaps generate a bit more interest.

the amount of grief Calzaghe (and SN) were getting after Woods won the title too. Woods doesn't need Calzaghe, Woods has huge fights ahead of him etc... etc...
Granted, joe is still waiting for his big fight since Lacy, but Woods career has remained at an absolute stand still since his win over Johnson. Its even looking like going backwatrds!!

Woods should be looking to line-up Chad Dawson IMO. He's the new kid on the block and it'd be a unification match-up, ideal support bout for PBF-RH, if Hobson is promoting it

Yes, with hindsight, it may have been a big mistake turning down a shot at Calzaghe, as Clinton cannot have had too many big paydays in his career.

They should try and get him over to fight Dawson, but who knows whether Dawson is keen or not, and unification fights are always difficult business to make happen, especially with Ricky commanding such big paydays these days.

if he went to America and fought Dawson it'd be a bad idea. Dawson is 6' 4, lighting fast, a southpaw and has a wicked body attack. This is the nearest in quality to a prime RJJ you'll get at light heavy for the next maybe ten years. Sure Clinton is improved but Dawson appears to be too much.

Its shocking that Clinton has one of the 3 big belts but yet struggling to get fights, and then ends up fighting the same people over and over.

IMO as soon as Hatton signed Clinton has taken a back seat. You've got to admire his loyalty - he must see this but is sticking with Hobson.

Surely there is fights out there to be had - Briggs, Homes, Erdei, Drews, Ulrich, Green etc etc.

Perhaps a change of promoter is in order? Say what we like about Warren, will he not manage Clinton to at least 2 to 3 decent paydays?

Its a shame because I really like Clinton, done things the hard proper way, not alpabet titles. But now hes the IBF champion he's been put on the shelf. Talk about a title being a weight around your neck!

You'd make a great promoter.......but a sh!t boxing fan

I want to see our top-level boxers in the best fights out there, especially the ones who are knocking on abit, I want them to target the best and to take risks

I've watched Dawson against Ruiz, Adamek and Harding. He's good, but not as good as you make out IMO. Then again, I remember you were very high on Adamek, so I suppose it makes sense you'd like the man who beat the man, so to speak. Dawson is fresher, and I'd probably lean towards him if he fought Woods, but in a fight in Sheffield with the crowd behind him, Clinton would have every chance.

I would love to see Woods in with someone like Danny Green or Paul Briggs. Can't they pack him off to Germany to face Zsolt Erdei or even Thomas Ulrich...both winnable fights and would be solid paydays for Woods. Even stick him in with Montell Griffin or perhaps a tempter for Adamek to get him straight back in the driving seat of world class...or even Tarver!!

Anything but Johnson or Gonzalez again. What exactly has Gonzalez done to warrant another shot anyway?
