Anthony Bellew will be an excellent addition to the pro rank. The Bomber has been amatuer boxing's most exciting fighter for the last 3 years and has never failed to disappoint no matter the occasion.

I remember being ringside for Anthony's ABA quarter final bout against Sam Sexton(now an undefeated pro) where Bellew was 5 points down going into the last round, he came out and was relentless for the entire two minutes almost forcing the stoppage. Sexton held on but his ABA dream was over as Bellew had won the round by 9 points.

Apart from Sexton, Bellew has stopped Steve Simmons, brutally knocked out John Lewis Dickinson and has also won a Novice ABA title with a 6 second knockout( a record i believe)

The first couple of years will be a great learning curve for Anthony as he will no doubt be sharing the ring with wily survivors, but with Bomber's power, chin, and passion of ring wars, i firmly believe that Bellew will be a favourite of all boxing fans.

All in all Bellew looks an exciting and welcome addition to the pro ranks then at either Light Heavyweight or Cruiser. He looked quite trim (admittedly we only see the face) from the photo Neri put up and sounds like Farnell is putting him through his paces to lose a few pounds.
