Out of interest, what speed is your broadband connection?
Mine is officially 1MB, and I was going to buy it for £3, but when i did the trial on Seconds out it said 'don't bother buying the fight' or words to that effect, as presumably my system wouldn't handle it.

So I gave it a miss.

I'm on Tiscali and it is 1.1 mps or something which is pretty much the same as yours? As i say the picture was not stellar but it did the job. I just wrote a short review for Boxing Tribune on the fight so hopefully that will be up soon, i'm on a roll tonight

I suppose so if they are unifying, i didn't hear this fight announced? I would imagine Chagaev has the beating of Ibragimov but who knows. Suppose they are quite similar stylistically. For now Wlad is the man.

So what was Brewsters plan for the fight?

I'm not saying he could win it but it sounds like he didn't even give it a try. I personally think Buddy McGirt is one of the most overrated trainers nowadays and his las succes must be Tarver KO2 RJJ.
I realized it after the Adamek - Dawson fight...

Maybe i'm not up to date with fighters he is training, but can you name a bout that his fighter won as an underdog in recent say 3 years?

Or fighters that improved significantly working with him?

Why, because the winner will hold more belts? What if Peter beats Maskaev? Klitschko has a win over him remember.

I thought the fight tonight was a big dissapointment. All Brewster had to offer were jabs to the body and the occasional jab to the head nearly all of which missed as Klitschko controlled the distance beautifully. Klitschko's own jab was so accurate it looks like it'll have the beating of every heavyweight out there. At the end of the fifth when McGirt told Brewster he was giving him one more round to show him something, I really expected Brewster to go for broke and swing for the fences, especially after what happened last time but he had nothing. I wonder if the damage he picked up around the eye affected him mentally seeing as he suffered a detached retina in his previous fight.

Well Isn't nearly every boxing fan asking for the HW's to unify and thats what Chag and Sultan are doing. Plus their both top

Wlad's just carefully cherry picking mismatches, while those two above are fighting each other to give us a unified champ.

Just watched the fight. Brewster threw maybe 2 left hooks in the whole fight. He was far too passive. No pressure whatsoever. His best chance i thought was to come out smoking like he did against Golota.

In the post fight interview he mentioned his wife & kids and health and having to earn a living type stuff a couple of times which you wouldn't expect from someone with such a tough guy rep. so i think he came into this for the payday and with no real belief.

I think you're being a bit harsh on Wlad there Max. Yes, everyone wants to see a unification in the heavyweights, but a proper unification. Two guys who only just picked up their belts fighting each other, whilst a welcome step, is hardly the same as an undisputed top dog. Wlad has his flaws, and the likes of Austin and Brock are hardly all time greats, but Klitschko has more wins against solid contenders than anyone else at the top of the heavyweight tree, and some of those, like the Byrd performance, are dominant wins. Tonight he knocked off a guy who beat him first time out, which gets him credit from me at least, and seemingly did it in a dominant fashion as well. Wladimir ain't great, but he's just about the best we've got at the moment, and it's going to take more than just holding two alphabet belts at the same time to change that.

True he has good opposition on his record.

He battered Byrd but I don't see why he needed to just keep holding Byrd whenever Chris got close when Byrd wasn't capable of hurting Wlad.

Yeah and he picked Brewster at the right time to get revenge on.

He looks the best, but are we being deceived? He has good piston straights and keeps them on the jab but when someone can slip those straights or can't hold on he can be beat.
