limond done my native glasgow proud tonight , i had the fight at the time of stoppage 77-74 to khan
limond had won 8 out of 28 by knockout but still floored and very nearly stopped khan.
personally i have never really rated khan because of his amatuer style , he walks straight in with his chin up in the air.
if khan was fighting anyone with a decent punch tonight he would have been kayod.
watch warren now match him against no - punch contenders.....khan for a world title...i just cant see it
only plus point is that khan fought back like a champion but his chin says it all
khan i feel was arrogant when asked if he was hurt and he said no????...he was just about to be stopped...come on amir admit that you were lucky in round 6 but pat yourself on teh back forthat 7th round.
khan will not last long i think but good luck to him as he has made alot of money already

The division he is in is jam packed with tough, solid hitters...especially when you get close to world class.

He's rated at 25, but would struggle with around 15 of those above him. At least 8 of them would win comfortably. Five or so would annihilate him.
Frank is gonna be really, really pissed over the next few weeks. Here Khan is, coming away with Limond's title, yet to climb much higher would be suicide; going back to blown-up feathers won't be tolerated by Joe Public for long either... There's no clear path; I think his career is effectively over.
If not for the hype, he could afford to lose a few given his age, learn a lot, and perhaps make an excellent Euro-level technician. A loss is too costly though, thanks to ITV/FW's selling tactics, which leaves him in the cold.
Two options I can see. If I was Amir, I'd ditch FW and head for America away from national TV, take solid bottom of the card fights. Come back to Europe at such a time I felt ready to challenge for something.

McGuigan was honest and that's how it should be. Duke however has to stop saying "at this present moment in time." It is incorrect English, makes him sound thick as a brick and you'd think Rawling would at least take him to one side & have a word about it. There is no need to say "at this moment in time" - EVER. "AT THIS PRESENT moment in time is even worst."

To be fair, Khan has no where near the level of hubris that AH showed and still shows.
but, if someone who punches like Limond can knock him over then Heaven help him if anyone with a decent punch gets near his chin
He came back well, but, I can see some VERY careful matching from now on in.

Khan is an exciting fighter that can punch, has heart, a bit of stamina & balls; plus he fights more than twice a year!
Audley Harrison has none of the above qualities.

One comparison that can be made is that Olympic medalists dont seem to transfer well to the pro game and both fighters have of course come down that route - Another is both have gobbed off about being a world champion while it became quite clear Harrison wasnt good enough and now Khan is proving the same - Both have made loads of money without proving they were worthy of it - Both had debut fights already famous from their Olympic status - In fairness to Khan though he does come to fight and tries hard whereas Harrison didnt.
I've been one of Khans biggest critics but to give him credit the way that he came back after being floored was impressive. It is though extremely worring that he was not only floored but severely hurt against Limond who is well known as a very light puncher. I just dont think Khan has the chin to reach world class... in fact he may even struggle at Europeon class. His options are to follow Warrens route of light punching opponents and probably a safe WBU title down the line or else if he really wants to go for it and make the most of his talent I think he should go to America and work with someone like Manny Steward and he may well be able to get futher and aquire the skills to overcome his vulnerbilies... as things are I just dont see the improvements in him that youd expect from such a young and talented boxer at this stage... he still makes amutuer mistakes and his defence is often appalling... and with a dodgey chin such flaws will be fatal to his career...

If Limond can have him down then it certainly shows that Khan has a weak chin, whats also worrying is how long it took him to recover. It actually reminds me a lot of Errol Christie... brilliant amutuer but just not durable enough to make it to the top as a pro...

I didn't see the fight lastnight, as I'm not in UK and couldn't find anywhere showing it, but still, this all sounds a bit premature to me, writing off Khan's career.
David Haye got knocked down and badly hurt by Lolenga Mock, early in his career and is about to challenge for the undisputed title (although victory for Haye is no foregone conclusion IMO). Klitschko also has a weak chin, but is rated by most as the no1 Heavyweight, although, I have to admit that the depth of talent in the Heavyweight Division doesn't compare to that of the Lightweights and Light Welters.
I am not saying that Khan is definetely going to be a world champion and a guy is only as good as his last fight, so Khan being hurt and, from what I've read on the forum here, nearly being stopped by Limond shows he needs a convincing performance against a live opponent next time out if he's to turn things around.

The difference with Haye is that he was floored and stopped by big punchers... Carl Thompson had the power to stop anyone, while Khan has been floored and very badly hurt by a well known light puncher in Limond... he's definately got a vulnerble chin, theres no avoiding that fact, remember this wasnt just the case of Khan being floored and getting up ok, ....he was out on his feet for a little while.
The positive is that he showed the heart and ability to comeback, but my worry is that he'll be put into cottonwool now for good for the near future and that worst thing to happen to him in the long run...
