Khan is going to get a fair bit heavier very soon and i fear anyone matching his weight with a half decent bang will turn this

Khan's chin ain't so good but he didn't get put out cold by a light hitter like Harrison did and at least won when he stepped up.Coffee Aroma wrote:One of the more disturbing things about Khans Great Escape was his obvious lack of stamina, he looked knackered halfway through the bout and was punching himself out in desperation before the stoppage ended it![]()

Good points. Plenty of fighters have had near disasterous (or even disasterous) setbacks and comeback much better. Haye, Alex Arthur, Ricky Hatton vs Magee... They are dubbed learning fights for a reason.Chambers2 wrote:There were obviously some negatives to come out of Khans fight with Limond, but there were also alot of positives- his stamina looked fine for the 12 round distance IMO, he showed great heart in returning from the brink and his power seems to be developing very nicely as he matures.
I think Oliver Harrison summed up Khans performance when he told him he was "trying to hard", he was lunging in looking for the KO and he was leaving himself wide open when doing so. After Khan was knocked down he got back to his boxing, he picked his shots alot better and was getting tagged alot less.
Khan needs to tighten up his defence and not take so many chances early on, his handspeed is phenomenal and he should be using to greater effect by boxing at distance rather than getting involved in a tear-up. Khan managed to learn a fantastic lesson on Saturday without ultimately getting beat, in time we may look back on the Limond fight as we (I) do with Hayes fight with Carl Thompson, providing Khan has learnt some valuable lessons (as I'm sure he has as Oliver Harrison will no doubt be ramming them down his throat)
