FINALLY...

Post by Marlin »

a decent Australian undercard!

I was pretty impressed with the standand of the fights last night, most were actually competitive! I was massively impressed by Brad Milner, in no way did he fight like a 1-2 fighter. He pushed the action landed at will and took a good win. I would definitely like to see him again. Bryant had a good fight, while Kickett was pretty dominate. (I missed the Steve Wills fight). I was also glad it didn't go for a million hours like other Aussie undercards have...

What did you guys think?

I totally agree mate. I only caught Milner-Wills and Kickett-Dulog but it was great. I actually enjoyed the undercard more then the main event. Danny Green promoted the whole thing didn't he? Because if so he is a great matchmaker and I would love to see him put on his own fight-nights to compete with the laughable Fenech ones.

In total agreement, brilliant card! I'd have liked to have seen more than one KO in the five fights, but apart from that I cannot complain. Only the Kickett fight was completely one-sided, but then Kickett was so good to watch that I didn't really mind.

18 July undercard

Hiya peoples !!! I heard Milner fought well against Willsy. It would have been an exciting 6 rounds to watch - and it's a shame that we don't get to see these fights on NZ TV. Hope we get to see more of Milner ...he has a big heart and a heap of talent. Cheers guys. :TU:

As I said I was very impressed with him mate. Have you seen any of his other fights? I just find it hard to believe he was 1-2-1 coming into that fight, he looked a lot better than that. Perhaps he only just started taking it seriously or was he just overmatched in his first few fights?

I also agree.
One of the well matched undercards I have seen on Australian TV for a long time.

I thought the Andreas Seran V Robbie Bryant fight was a cracker.

Obviously Green doesn't match his own fights as he fights himself! I believe Angelo Hyder helps his promoter Justin match their fights.

Marlin - yep Ive watched his fights against Paulley and Thornycroft. Milner is a tidy unit. Dont think he has been overmatched. Maybe hes just coming into his own now. Think he runs a sport training business in NZ so probably a busy man just getting his priorities right? Take nothing away from Willsy though - he's a tough man. Cheers :TU:

Update on Milner. He runs a private Personal Training business in the South Island, NZ. Think its called BSM Fitness. must be a tough call running a business and keeping up a proboxing career so no wonder hes hungry. he did good. Spotted that Noah Lopez was cornering him . he's an ex NZ commonwealth boxer. Just a bit of info. As I said hope we see more of Milner. Cheers :TU:
