Its true, Bami pulled out two weeks ago.

Still think Mutley will win this fight. Stylistically Lynes will be far harder than Bami, but Mutley has a couple of things on his side: strength and punching power.

People seem to think that Mutley is all-puncher, not true. Lets not forget that he fought on level terms on the outside with Michael Jennings but was the boss on the inside against a bigger man. He outboxed and decked Kevin Anderson before running out of steam. That was at welterweight.

He is now back in his natural weight division where his strength and power will be even more potent. I've seen about 12 or 13 of Mutt's fights live and he was always a beast at 140lb.

He has been looking a beast in the gym as well.

dont you read my posts? i broke the bami pull out news before it was announced due to a little bird whispering in my ear.
check my posts for verification of this fact.

i'm a lynes man and i see this as a very tough fight. but if colin boxes on the back foot and jabs as well as he did against morrison he wins.

British and Euro title shots in a month is a real throwback though, good luck Lynes! :TU:

lynes is a class above muttley i think, lynes learnt his lessons against lenny dawes. i think lynes will either outpoint muttley or stop him late on. but lets not forget, mettley has a punchers chance in the first 5 rounds.

Are we saying that Colin Lynes is a better boxer or puncher than Michael Jennings or Kevin Anderson? I certainly dont think he is. Mutley outfought Jennings and then outboxed and decked Anderson at a higher weight. Although he lost to Anderson, everyone knows that was due to him not doing any roadwork.

Not such trouble this time. He is fitter for this fight than he was when he fought Jennings.

He is back at his natural weight division and this time he'll do the business with a late stoppage. Lynes will never have fought some one with as much power and strength as Lee is going to bring.

This is Johnny Nelson's take on Sky Sports:

I always find myself skyplussing Colin Lynes' fights, only to find out the result, "a dull 12 round affair"....thus it stays ther until the hard-drive percentage dips below 15% and is deleted so my mum can record big brother, which in fairness is a lot more exciting

This is a little more interesting on paper than the average Lynes encounter, although not a entirely satisfactory substitute for Bami-Mutley which promised to be a cracker

Mutley has to show more aggression to win this one than in some of his previous fights....he tends to stand off, and wait too much...here he has to really make his strength and power tell because he won't outbox Lynes

Jennings' clan reckon it was a bad decision - I'd love to see a rematch, though I thinkl Mutt would stop him within 5 second time around.

well, mr podmore, your boys butt was well and truly kicked by my boys superior skills. i read your very one sided article and how you managed to describe mutley as a decent boxer i do not know. just waiting for an excuse to land his big left. very very crude. he didnt get a sniff tonight and ricky hatton agrees. totally outclassed lynes didnt even box on the retreat and jab - he was coming forward and boxing lee's ears off. an even better performance than the morrison fight and its branco next so my spy tells me
