Is the MC for tonight Stewpot from Grange Hill or does he just look like him?

Isn't he from the insurance advert, you know the one where the 2 couples in Volvo's are saying "Bev? Kev? Bev? Kev?" etc...

Yes he was Stewpot from Grange Hill - Mark Burdis. He's also in one of my favourite films Love Honour and Obey.

I remember him from Operation Good Guys. He played a bumbling fool in that. He must be in character then tonight.
Just before Gavin Rees' entrance "Ladies and gentlemen our next bout is a 4 round contest at Super-Flyweight."

I guess Michael Pass must be on holiday, surely there must be some decent MC's around the country that could fill in.

I was stunned that it WAS "Kev" from the adverts. I thought I'd come up with the greatest Lookalike of all time.

Poor old "Little" Gavin Rees was done a disserve being announced as the New WBO champion.

Perhaps it is because you seem obsessed with MCs.

Perhaps you are one?

burdis wasnt good but it was nerves. i didnt say he was the bully in grange hill, i just asked if anyone knew who the bully was. still dont know.

gavin rees is the WBA lightwelter champ and yet he isnt even the best lightweight in this country. a host of decent british guys could beat him. i'm happy that he has beaten the awful unmotivated mbaye but this is ridiculous.
lots of people werent too keen on AA's performance last night but i thought after a start he coped well with an awkward SOB kept his concentration and at odd times looked a worthy opponent for anyone in the world. get him a fight soon fw

Give the bloke the benefit of the doubt, it was a huge bill for him to be chucked in at the deep end. Could have been worse we could of had that girl that said' I'm only trying to help Roland'
Or that wierd little Danny bloke off of Grange Hill
