QUESTION: BRISTOL TO CARDIFF - CALZAGHE FIGHT??

Post by Wrists »

Hi

Was just wondering - mate and I are thinking about going to the fight maybe flying into Bristol - is it easy to get to Cardiff from Bristol?

Are we better off staying in Bristol then into Cardiff on the night itself etc etc etc????

Would appreciate some help!! :TU:

Regards

No idea, but then I wouldn't be surprised there would be a service from Bristol airport to Bristol train station.

A taxi from Bristol Airport into Bristol Temple Meads train station cost you around £15-£20 depending on the taxi driver ! There's also a shutle bus that runs into Bristol.

Like Stu says trains are pretty frequent from Bristol to Cardiff every half hour or so takes about 45 minutes to Cardiff.

Taxi from Bristol Airport to Cardiff will set you back about £80, But I've known the Irish rugby fans to sweet-talk the drivers into doing it for £60 !!

If you're going to book a hotel in Cardiff for the night, do it PDQ because they wont last long and expect to pay way over the odds !
If you're staying in Bristol, remember the fight is in the early hours and the first train back to Bristol on the Sunday morning wont be until about 6am (I think)

And if you need a Taxi back to Bristol give me a PM (im a cabbie you see and I need the money to pay for my ticket) :TU: :TU:

Could also hire a car and drive it if there are a few of you.

Bristol to Cardiff is no more than 90 mins drive in a straight line on the M4.

Cardiff and Bristol are both big stations on the Swansea to London Paddington line with trains running between the places every hour at the least. By car, should be about an hour crossing the 2nd Severn Bridge and down the M4 motorway. Bristol to Cardiff is a very accessible route........ Providing the floods don't keep up
