Heres a link to the report i got. Its in spanish but basically it says there are no news of both fighter's whereabouts.
Its indeed a hughe blow to the Cuban olimpic dominance if they went away. Maybe it has something to do with Olidanier Solis and the others current run as pros.

Demetrius Andrade just won by RSCO-3 and Christopher Downs just won by a close score something like 9-5. Downs landed at least 5 punches in the first round and his opponent landed one glancing blow and Downs was losing 1-0. The computer scoring was obviously not taking the bias out of the scoring. The judges were still disfavoring Downs, but he eventually landed punches that they had to score for him.
Shawn Porter did not get a suspension so he will be in the Olympic Trials Box-offs. The punch that put him down was NOT a legal blow. It did NOT land with the white part of the glove as is required in international competition. His opponent hit him with the palm of his hand and it actually looked like the heel of his palm hit Shawn in the jaw/chin. However, the ref jumped in and just stopped the bout.
Adam Willett hurt his shoulder AGAIN. I think this guy is going to need surgery or a long period of rest to let it heal. He is not going to give the US its best chance at a medal in the World Championships or Olympics at 201#. I am hoping that he does not win the trials. He may not even pass the physical if the doctor really checks out his shoulder.
I've watched the Porter bout and he got up after 3 or 4 seconds, but the ref had already stopped the bout. I've talked to his dad and Shawn will be at the trials.boxmel wrote:USAB has reported that neither Porter nor Wilson received restriction periods, even though the Pan Am site has the decisions listed as RSCH.
That's good news.
