off topic: buying a new laptop

My missus has a really old laptop, would increasing the ram memory, help it's performance as it's as slow as a carthorse!!!

I have BT broadband, simply because everyone else I tried said the signal was too weak. Something to do with alledgedly living in the sticks. I still fail to see how living within 8 miles of Exeter can be called within the sticks, but there you go....

Personally I would not go near PC World or Dell for a Laptop or PC. I did a lot of research before I got my own and found the best place to get best spec and value is http://www.komplett.co.uk - I think you end up with a far superior machine for the same price as Dell or any of these high street stores.
