Audley is a smart guy, but this sort of thing is a PR nightmare and will not endear him to most Boxing fans I would imagine.
He should in my personal opinion concentrate on his Boxing career and be trying to improve his image/reputation rather than threating legal action over a few semi-offensive comments that most people would have forgotten about by now if Audleys actions had not brought them back into the public eye.
With ragards to Boxing News why didn't Audley just ring them up to give his side of the story? Many have done this in the past and Boxing News have printed the Boxers side of the story.

True, he did bring them back into the public eye, but the effect of the original articles was negative. There were threads on here gloating about it, taking it as further "proof" about perceived negative aspects of Audley's character.

Plus, while Boxing News have always been more than fair to Audley, The Mirror has quite a history of negative coverage, and often without it being merited.

Skelton-McDermott should have more than justified the entry fee that night. Williams-Harrison only looks bad by comparison. I mean, who could have lived up to that epic?

As I recall Khan was blistering that night though in about his 5th or 6th fight i think.
yeah and i supose the fact that Danny has been a trier in the past V vitali and potter of course, but fact remains he was out of shape and crap that night.

Woah, telling the truth when it deflects criticism from Audley is tantamount to blasphemy around these parts.
It goes back to what Terry D was saying elsewhere, about what we can allow in fighters, based on their personality.
On that night, BOTH boxers were appalling, but ONLY Audley got lambasted for it because, well, Danny is a nice guy.
That's true but Danny gave us that back from the brink win over Tyson and the one armed KO of Mark Potter so he didn't owe us as much. What has Audley ever offered the British fight fan? He won the gold then sold us a lie about a supposed professional career for £1M+. As only a very few realised the con until quite a few fights in & and due of course his disagreeable persona he'll never make up his goodwill deficit no matterwhat he does now.
