I was watching Ringside last night.
They covered the England 9-0 over USA.
They made the US super HeavyWeight guy to be a genuine prospect, having sparred Lennox.
Then they stated our boy (Price) won on the Outclassed rule.
What does that mean exactly?

The outclassed rule is where one fighter has built up a big points gap on the scoring system used in amateur boxing. I can't recall what the actual gap is now, but I'm sure someone will know. But say it's 15 for example's sake. If Junior Witter was outscoring Ricky Hatton 22-10 in an amateur fight (well, they're not going to meet in the pros, are they!) and suddenly landed a combination that took him 15 points ahead, then it would automatically be stopped in his favour on the outclassed rule.

i think if the points difference goes over 20 or something like that the fight gets stopped,

say if i was beating Joe Calzaghe 30-10 and i scored another point i woul win,

Is it not also sometimes called 'The Mercy Rule'?? Whatever it's called I think it still counts in the last round TerribleTerry but I to am not sure.

It's actually a 20 point rule now i.e first person to lead by 20 points wins. And whoever above said about the rule not applying in the last round is correct.
