True, nothing can hurt me now I've survived the Battle Of The Statues, though I still get slow motion flashbacks.

That reminds me on some American writers reply when a Brit described Bruno as looking like Michelangelo's statue of David -

Jason Cook is still in the top 10 at light-welterweight - higher than British champion Junior Witter and a whopping 12 places higher than Eamonn Magee. I wouldn't fancy Cook to beat either Witter or Magee.

That's pretty ridiculous, I think it's WBC policy to rank the European champ in the top 10 but I thought he'd lost that title?

Hatton looks well placed to go to No 1 if he wins next month. Gatti and Branco fight in Jan, and though tough fights he'd be in with a chance with either of them I think..

Yes, the Americans have never forgiven us for "Phainting" Phil Scott.
I remember when Larry Holmes was something like 43-0, he was asked about Marciano's 49-0 record and whether he was hoping to break it. Larry denied it. "If I wanted to break the record, I could go to England and break it in a week," he said.

Yes, he lost it on the scales, but he was European champ at lightweight! And now he's IBO champ at lightweight. Somebody in Mexico City has taken a shine to our Jason.

Michael Stewart should be ranked higher than 23 aswell. Saw him beat up a faded Terron Millett on Channel five not so long ago. He has a good record and would be a fairly decent test for Hatton (although a step backwards).

Incidently, before the fight he mentioned he'd love to fight any of the top 5 Light Welters. He said 1) Tszyu, 2) Mitchell, 3)Gatti 4)Judah and 5)Hatton. Its a quite strange to hear Hatton being mentioned by an American rival.
